This timer is total junk. It doesn't ring half the time and the innards actually rattle around. It looks great and really would have fit in with our decor but trust me. Save your money. I bought this timer and the original white Sunbeam timer to help my son grasp the concept of time, but while this timer has a nice industrial-chic look, it doesn't work so well for my purposes: it has a nearly inaudible ring (it's more like vibrating) and it rings when it's five minutes to zero and not when it's at zero, like the other timer does! I'll use it now to limit my own time spent surfing and other time-consuming but ultimately unproductive activities, but it's a disappointing timer in general.Customer Review: Simple, Attractive
