Not only will your hamburger taste better when it's cooked just right, it will be better for you too. Nobody wants any nasty intestinal disorder as a reminder of a family barbeque! These little stick thermometers can be tossed, along with the paper plates, when the cookout is over.Packaged in a spice rack jar, these handy sensor thermometers measure how well done a hamburger or meatloaf is while it's cooking. Simply plunge one of the disposable plastic sensors into the ground beef, wait a few seconds, and then check the dark tip. If the tip turns bright red, the burger (or meatloaf) is done (160 degrees F) and safe to eat. The sensor can be used again and again until the burger is cooked, and then it can be thrown away--no need to wash a metal thermometer.
